Eating disorders training for everyone

Between 1.25-3.4 million in the UK have an eating disorder and numbers are continuing to rise. Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness and have long-lasting effects on a person’s health and self-esteem.

Knowing how to support somebody with an eating disorder, whether you are a parent, a teacher, or a healthcare professional can make you feel more confident in spotting the signs of eating disorders, and knowing how to help somebody in their recovery journey.

For Parents and Carers

It can be terrifying for parents when their child has an eating disorder and you are suddenly thrust into a world you know nothing about. I run online and in-person sessions for parents and carers to provide you with tools and tips to support your child to achieve recovery.

From understanding what’s going on inside their minds, to making mealtimes calmer, getting professional help and sharing inspiration and advice from my own recovery journey these sessions will leave you feeling clearer and more hopeful.

Training for schools

I offer for training for the whole school community in eating disorders and can deliver tailored sessions for staff, pastoral leads, PE teachers, parents and pupils.

Prices start at £200 for a single session, £350 for a halfday, £600 a full day and I offer discounts for block bookings or multiple year groups.
